Dave Wallace is a 20-year retired veteran from the United States Navy. Dave is a Past Post Commander of Lorton Post 162 and Springfield Post 176 and served Dyer-Gunnell Post 180 as 1st Vice Commander from October 2017 to 2024. He also serves as the Department of Virginia and The American Legion National Headquarters Media and Communication Chairman.

Guillermo Guillén, USA, Ret. 

Guillermo Guillén is a 23-year retired veteran from the United States Army where he served in Armor, Cavalry, and Infantry units Macedonia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He is a Past Post Commander of Post 180 (2019-2023).  He also serves as the 17th District Senior Vice Commander, the 17th District and Department of Virginia National Security Chairman, and the National Guard and Reserve Forces Chairman for The American Legion National Security Commission. He and his wife have four children and two grandchildren, all members of The American Legion Auxiliary and Sons of The American Legion.

Jon Rymer, USA, Ret.

Jon Rymer is a retired US Army veteran with 33 years of service. He last served as a Command Seargent Major at the brigade level. In addition to his service in the Army, Jon served as the Inspector General of the United States Department of Defense.  He serves as the Dyer- Gunnell Post 180 Finance Officer.

Chris Gallagher, USN, Ret.

Chris Gallagher is a 20-year veteran of the United States Navy where he served as a Naval Flight Officer.  He completed multiple deployments to the western Pacific, the Mediterranean, the Arabian Gulf, and is a veteran of Operation Desert Shield. He serves as the Dyer-Gunnell Post 180 Chaplain.  He and his wife Susan have three children and enjoy spending time at the Outer Banks in North Carolina.

Mike Nienhaus, USA

Michael Nienhaus is a US Army combat veteran, with Federal Law Enforcement and US  Diplomatic  experience. Michael served in Armor, Infantry, and Special Operations units throughout the world. Michael transitioned from US active military to US Federal service. He is passionate about taking care of our Veteran Service Members, as well as learning about world history and cultures.  Michael Nienhaus and his family live in Vienna, VA.

Past Natl Cmdr Dan Dellinger, USA 

Dan received his eligibility to the American Legion through his service in the United States Army, 1971-1985 serving as an Infantry Officer on active duty and later in the Reserves.  He is a past Post/District/Department Commander and served as the National Commander of the American Legion 2013-2014. He currently serves on the National Commanders Advisory Committee.  He's married to his amazing wife Margaret and has two children and a grandson.

Michael Paruti, USA

Michael Paruti is a veteran of the United States Army where he served as an Armor officer in the Pennsylvania National Guard.  Michael has been a member of the American Legion since 1999 and currently serves as Athletics Officer for Dyer-Gunnell Post 180.  He lives in Vienna with his wife and daughter, who are both members of Auxiliary Unit 180.
